Rainbow Bright

First off I want to thank everyone for all your sweet comments about my quilt and fabric suggestions for the backing.  I still haven't decided on a color but I have decided that I want it to be a small print.  I'm leaning towards yellow or aqua.  I really love yellow and gray together...so if I find a print I really like that might be the winner.  I plan on using the quilt in my living room.  My end table is yellow (thanks Emily!)  but my tv stand is aqua (thanks Cassie!) so who knows. Oh and my walls are gray.  Stay tuned.

And the hallway decorations have made it up at Natalie's school...they look awesome.  I hope to take a picture and post it soon.

Like I said in this post, Natalie turned 5 yesterday and to celebrate we are having a party at the gym where she takes gymnastics.  The theme she chose was a rainbow party.  I remembered Megan's posts over at Fowl Single File about her daughter's rainbow party which I thought was so adorable.  I pretty much recreated her invitation.  The front has the same wording but with a different layout.  The back of my invite is pretty much the same as hers.  I also did the entire thing on Picnik....no cutting or gluing this time.  This is what I came up with:

Planning this party has been lots of fun!  Megan has a great link to Paper Glitter that has free rainbow party printables.  I will definitely be using those.  They are so cute.

Unlike Lily's party I hope to show you more of my party planning progress.  But I make no promises since it is close to Christmas and I have yet to start my homemade gifts....sigh.  Oh and only half of my decorations have made it up.  My plan is to change that this weekend.  We'll see.

Have a wonderful weekend!!
