A day at the zoo and checking some things off the list.

Thank You!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!!!  All of your birthday wishes made my day!  When I got home last night I had over 50 new emails!  So thank you for making my day so special.  I really enjoyed reading about your favorite birthday's and songs.  Thanks so much for participating in my Birthday Extravaganza.  I really appreciate each and every single one of you, even the lurkers. :-) And for those of you who haven't yet, check the side bar for the giveaways that are still going on!!

Soooo what did I do for my birthday?  We went and saw my family...

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!  Seriously people I write the jokes for me.  Cracking up over here!

Okay, okay so we actually went to the zoo.  We were there from 11:30am until 7:30pm.  We were exhausted and stinky :-) but we had a blast!  Here are some of the animals we saw...

This is a type of horse, not a donkey like I thought.

They have a small mammal house with monkeys, mole rats, meerkats, porcupines etc.  I can't remember what animal this next one is but I heard a girl say, "that one looks like my grandpa!"  lol!  I'm really just a 12 year old boy trapped in a 33 year olds body!

Here's a super cute meerkat!

And an iguana, I've actually held a ton of these when I worked as a veterinary technician, taken x-rays, helped draw blood.  This guy is chillin'...

A beautiful tiger, settleing down for a nap.

This next bird was in the amazonian building (one of my favorites) and was super close, I didn't have to zoom in at all.  Then it started moving towards me and I figured it was time to move on.  They have signs that say in the event of an animal emergency call XXX-XXX-XXXX number.  Now if that means in regard to bodily injury from the birds or if the birds are injured, I have no clue so I didn't take my chances.  See how he was staring at me...

Here's the girls playing on a huge pizza.  An olive tunnel, a cheese slide, and movable pepperoni and mushrooms.

Natalie wanted to pose for a picture with pretty much every statue or rock!

Owls!!!

Here's the look out prairie dog, I think he was falling asleep. "Yawn, humans bore me"

Flamingos, better then any plastic yard ornament!

I have a TON more pics but I think I have already gone a little photo heavy in this post!
It was an awesome birthday!  This weekend my hubby and Natalie are making my triple chocolate fudge cake!! YUM!

The zoo is one of our summer to-dos, so we can check that off!  We have also checked a couple others off this past week.

Chalk drawings (mama had fun)...

Story time at the library and joining the summer reading program...

It's been a busy week but tons of fun!

And before I go, did you notice the new button on my side bar? While at the race for the cure waiting to meet our team Cassie said, "What if they can't find us, I'm much prettier on my blog!"  We thought it would make a great blog button!   I just can't figure out a way to not have it link back here.  So if you grab it and someone clicks on it it will come back to me.  I'm still trying to figure out if it's even possible for you guys to take it without the link back.   Stay tuned for more clever buttons in the near future ;-)

  7. Chalk drawings are the best!

I also grabbed your button :) After Cassie said that at the race I stole her "disclaimer" for my "About Me" page, haha. To make the button not link back to you, take out the link code in HTML. People will be able to grab just the image code that way (if that doesn't make sense, feel free to email me. I "de-linked" the image and recently changed the code for my blog button so I had to figure it out :))

  8. Looks like you had a fantastic time, Andi. The zoo is great, but I don't think we would have lasted 8 hours! I love that giant pizza :)

Connecting with people is one reason I love blogging. So bring on the comments and questions, they make my day! I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by and say "hello!"

I love to reply to all comments so if your email is not linked to your profile I send my comment to this noreply guy. And that makes us both sad. Thanks!
