Summer list 2011

Morning all!  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!  We've kept it pretty low key around here.  It's been in the 90s the last few days so we have been staying in with the AC.  Yesterday Natalie and I ventured out to Joann's for their firefly frenzy.  Their summer decor was marked down 60%.  I scored this awesome vinyl table cloth for our table outside on the deck.

Love the pattern and the color is so vibrant and cheerful, perfect for summer!

No matter how much I wipe the table down before we eat it is still gross so this was a great solution. I love the pattern and the blue is so bright and happy.  The only thing is there was no hole for the umbrella so I folded it in half and then half again and cut a quater circle at the folds.

So now we can eat on the deck a lot more this summer, which is on our to-do list.

Now that the girls are getting older I want to make an effort to make our summer days more intentional. I've seen some really amazing summer lists in blog land.  Like this one here and here.  I showed you guys my DIY chalkboard.  I thought it was the perfect place to put our own list.

Here it is...

I used chalk pens.  I love how bright they are and this way little hands can't erase it ;-)  We've already checked a few things off our list, like the pool, bubbles, and eat dinner on the deck.  Nothing is set in stone but my hope is we will accomplish a lot of them and then some!

I'm looking forward to making lots of memories and starting new traditions that will hopefully continue for many summers.

How about you, do you have a summer to-do list?
What are your must dos?

Oh and don't forget to come back tomorrow for the first day of...
