No sew Spring bunting

Happy Weekend!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday.  It's supposed to be 68 here tomorrow!!  I hope to get in a run, get some painting done, and maybe plant some flowers and/or start my veggie "garden".  We'll see though ;-)

Last night was my monthly night out for Wine and Design at Cassie's.  I look forward to the four hours I get to spend gabbing and crafting.  The company is always awesome and lots of fun!  The theme was Spring.  I had made the decision that I would not go out and purchase anything so that my project would use things I already had.  I had already made a wreath, and some eggs, so I thought I could make a cute bunting using the same vintage fabrics I used for the eggs.  Heres what I came up with...(not the best pictures since it was such an overcast day.)

Instead of traditional pennants I decided to do rectangles.  I wasn't precise or systematic in my cutting or fabric choices.  I just cut at random.  And here's the best part...I used glue dots to wrap them around the jute!  I just put down the rectangle wrong side up, put 3 dots along the edge and folded it over the twine.  Super simple.  And the flags are ajustable!  It's like a little rod pocket or in this case jute pocket, like on curtains.  And I think I may go back and help the fraying along so that it looks a bit more shabby.

While at wine and design I picked up a cabinet from Cassie that I had purchased.  Here it is in it's new home.

The brown table in the corner is only there temporarily.  So I will actually be able to open those drawers :-)

I thought it needed some spring decor so I whipped up a miniature bunting this afternoon.

I love it!  And I wanted to show you my dollar store bird and frame that I spray painted aqua, of course!

And before I go here's a little picture for my peeps re our kitchen convo last night:
