Customized pin the candle on the cupcake game and bonus blindfold tutorial

I mentioned earlier that I was working on a custom order for a pin the candle on the cupcake game.  I wanted to wait to show you guys how it turned out once my customer received it.  So here it is...

I actually love this more then the original!
I love the personalization, which I did using freezer paper stencils and fabric paint.

I think I may have to stencil "Happy Birthday!" on mine now.  I also did the edges differently.  Instead of putting wrong sides together and flipping it inside out and topstitching I just sandwiched the rick rack between the two pieces and sewed them together.  I like it this way better, I think it looks better and it was so much easier!

And last but not least I made this adorable blindfold!

I saw the polka dot felt and the idea popped into my head.  It is really simple to make.

Here's what you need:
Felt
Tulle
Ribbon 2 pieces, preferably a sturdier ribbon.
Velcro

Draw pattern for blindfold and cut out 2 pieces from your felt. *I plan on adding a pattern for you to print as soon as I have my scanner working again.
Next cut out several 3x5 pieces of tulle.  I used 2 colors, light pink and hot pink.  Fold tulle acordian style along the longer side and sandwich between two pieces of felt.  Pin in place.  Repeat until you have tulle all the way around.

Take your ribbon and sandwich between pieces of felt.  One on the right and one on the left.  Sew around blindfold.  Trim tulle until even,  Sew velcron on the ribbon.  And that's it!  A super cute blindfold!!
