Things I'm Lovin' Friday

It's that time of the week again!  I only have a few things to share :(  Sorry.
I don't know why, maybe because it is all that I'm thinking about lately, but again this week  my favorite things are home decor related.  Once I get the living room done I will be able to focus on my sewing etc.  Other then the game and crown my poor sewing machine is being neglected.

So I told you about Cassie from Primitive and Proper in my last Things I'm lovin' post.  Well she put me in contact with Emily (hi Emily!) who sold me this:

How great is that!!?  (Please ignore the u-g-l-y-you ain't got no alibi, you ugly uh huh unfinished floor)

I love that I love my furniture!
We have always bought furniture for more practical reasons and how we felt about the way it looked came second.
Isn't the color of the chairs gorgeous?
Before I saw them I wasn't sure how they would go in the kitchen with the green walls, but I think it works great? You?
See that cloche on the table?  Emily gave it to me!  Yep I know! So sweet and generous!

Alright on to the next...

We had these dark green curtains that I didn't like.  Here's why:

And now with the new color scheme etc they definitely had to go!

Yippee!

At first I thought I wanted white curtains but the more I thought about it the less I liked the idea.
Then I remembered an idea I had filed away...drop cloth curtains!
And when I saw Emily's while picking up the table and chairs...I decided to give them a try and I couldn't be happier.

Thanks again Emily!!! :-)

I might add some trim or even hem them so there is no overlapping part...not sure yet.
I figured I would live with them awhile and then decide.  Your opinions are welcome too!

* FYI they were so cheap and super easy to make!

I bought the 6 by 9 feet canvas drop cloths, 4 of them.  What is so great is there is no sewing involved because the drop cloths are hemmed on all four sides.  So all you need is a rod and rings with clips and voila you have curtains!!  That is my kind of project.

Lastly I'm going to share something non decor or craft related and was my favorite of the week by a long shot.

This little monkey...started gymnastics today.

I have never seen her so elated.
She was beaming the entire 45 mins.
It was so great to see her shine so bright and really come out of her shell.
Her joy was contagious.
I'm smiling just thinking about it.

I love you doodlebug!

Have a great weekend!

Party over here:
