Case of the sickies and a cool thrifting find.

UGH...This has been quite a week over here.

It all started last week when Natalie came down with a rash that only got worse, not better.  Took her to the doctor, ran a strep test and it was positive.  The rash started on Tuesday and the drs visit was on Friday.  Saturday night Lily woke up around 10pm throwing up.  Poor thing had no clue what was happening to her.  At about 1 am she stopped and slept until 8:30am.  She woke up nice and cool and seemed like herself.  Around noon she was feeling warm so I took her temp and it was about 100.  She has had a febrile seizure in the past so we gave her Motrin.  Well at around 4:30pm she had a seizure.  She had just been running around like a crazy person having fun and then climbed up on the glider.  Next thing I know she looked really out of it and would not respond to her name.  Nate picked her up and she was limp.  Then she started clenching her jaw and her lips went purple.  It lasted less then 3 minutes but felt like an eternity.  Even though this time we knew what was happening it was just as scary.  Thinking she may have strep too and needed antibiotics we took her to urgent care.  After a normal exam the dr recommended we take her to the ER so we could get blood work and a urinalysis done.  So off we went to the ER...ugh.  To cut this long story short, the ER doctor didn't think a work up was necessary (neither did we) and said she most likely had strep or a virus and it looked like the tube in her left ear was gone and she had an ear infection.  Today she is pretty much back to herself but last night I came down with the stomach bug.  Boo.  But it seems to be a 24hr one, thank goodness.

Needless to say I have had a VERY unproductive week.  Since I have no crafts to share I thought I would show you something I found at Goodwill a couple of weeks ago:

Mason jar salt and pepper shakers!!  And the best part?  Only $1.50 for both!!

Well I'm going to go try to squeeze in a quick nap before Lily wakes up.
Hope all of you are staying healthy!!!

  11. So we both have Natalie's and my Isabel's name WAS Lily for 1 whole day before I changed my mind. Never made the birth certificate but she was in the hospital for 8 days so I had some time to think. My sister loved the name Lily so much that she named her dog Lily. My best friend loved it so much that she named her first born Lily. :) Hope everyone's feeling better!
